Did she inevitably turn on poor Geo-Force? I heard what happened in the first tie-in issue and just knew she was setting him up. Besides, it would be nice for Geo-Force to face up to what his sister was and move forward.

The thing is that Tim and Cassie - the characters I don't want much to do with - have been like this for a while. Tim has been turning into a brooding mess for damn near a decade now; it's only gotten worse in the past four or five years, but even reading the old stuff, I don't like who Tim became. Cassie... yeah. Was never fond of her from what I read and since Titans Around the World I just can't stand her.
Gar and Raven have been under bad writing. Most people know this and writers typically go backwards and explain away such stories. But this has been a direction for Tim and Cassie for a long time; it's not like a writer with no idea how to write them just took over and they changed to the point where it's got a good chance to go back right after. As much as I'd love it, would DC really take Tim back ten or twelve years to when he was a hopeful, bright young man who wanted to be the light to his hero's darkness? With a less world weary outlook on the job? The way he should be? Not after ten to twelve years of Tim slowly turning into the character he is now. It's Tim and Cassies overall direction as opposed to them simply being under bad writers.
Besides, there's only one Robin I want on the Teen Titans: Damian Wayne.
Good news from this weeks comics.

I find that view unfair. I disagree that these characters are so different as to be worthless to hope for a change.
As someone who loves Morrison and who likes Johns--whose entire careers are in part based on their ability to take characters and either retool them for a new era or highlight the strong aspects of their character regardless of what's come before-- I'm surprised you continue to talk of them that way. You of all people should no there's no bad character, just bad writers.
And in all honesty--this is what is happening to us right now. Gar and Raven have been pretty damaged since the end of Infinite Crisis. Gar has regressed from a competent young Titan into a bit of a joke and inept leader. Raven has done a complete 180, has no real redeeming qualities left except for her character history, and her motivations and thoughts still remain obscured. These aren't the characters as they were, they're not enjoyable, we want to see them change--in part, want to see them pick up where they left off before they fell from grace.
So... what? Are you going to accept that now? Gar and Raven have been like this for years now, too. People can make the same argument to us, especially about BB/Rae the relaionship. Does it not count because it wasn't a popular move? Well it wasn't a popular move for what happened with YJ, either.
And you know what, most of the complaints isnt' that the YJ crew go back to square one. That's not what we want for BB/Rae either. That I agree with--I never want to see a character returned completely to square one.
But what they want is the general positive aspects of the characters to return--they want to see Superboy be fun and not mope around, they want to see Cassie be strong yet likable and not a bitch, they want to see Bart be a fun-loving joker and not just... mediocre.
Are there some who want to restore everything YJ? Yeah. But there are many more others who want a return of the YJ crew to being enjoyable to read. And so I don't see a problem with that, as long as it remains civil.
Because we may be on the other side of that coin in the near future. And we'll just have the same arguments back at us, because honestly... right now who Gar and Raven are aren't who we want them to be. Are we any different in that respect?

What's sad is that most of them aren't even the same characters they were in Young Justice anymore. I realize some fans don't want to let go of the basic dynamic of the four friends or let go of Young Justice completely in general, but at what point is it too different to the point where it's worthless? Conner's not the same, Cassie's a tool and Tim broods more than his mentor.
I'm just completely over Young Justice at this point.
That said, I'm not really against Conner coming back; in some odd way, it's almost comforting to see him on a Teen Titans cover, almost like a reminder of better days.

I can't even stand half the Young Justice four. I've softened on Conner over time and I always liked Bart, but Wonder Girl can take a long walk off a cliff and I tired of Tim a long time ago. The emphasis on the Young Justice four is the thing that bugged me about Geoff's run.
You know I'm happy about it, I just hope that Gar and Raven don't get shafted over time with the team roster.
If you listen to a lot of the fans out there, TT should just be about the YJ4 with maybe the rest of the DCU showing up as guest stars. I just hope that's not what Henderson has in mind.
